Affinity Plus Lake Alice 100

Thanks to all who took part in the world’s most compact century ride!

Whether you do all 87 laps or just one, the Lake Alice 100 is a great way to kick off spring and help make Fergus Falls a better place to walk and bike.

2017 Lap Counts

When?

Saturday, May 13 at 9:00 a.m. (pictures and mass start, though you are welcome to join the ride any time!)

Where?

The ride will be around scenic Lake Alice in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Registration, food, and other activities will be centered around St. James Episcopal Church on the southwest corner of the lake.

What?

The "100" indicates it's a century ride -- 100 miles in one day. That's 87 laps. But you don't need to do that many! Do one, do a dozen, or do them all! It's up to you. If you're Canadian (or just want to be one for a day) and want to go metric, 100 kilometers is 54 laps.

Why?

We like to think of it as a good way to celebrate spring, to enjoy the companionship of riding with hundreds of other cyclists, and to show off Fergus Falls. What's your reason?

How?

Just show up on your bike! Big or small, new or old, fancy or plain, it doesn't matter! The ride around Lake Alice looks good from any kind of seat. Don't have a bike? Don't worry! The bike fleet from ISD 544 will be on hand and you can check out one of their fine rides for free!

Event registration

The event is free, but we ask that you take a moment to register. We will be providing lap counting, and early registration ensures that we will have your information on the day of the ride. Plus, riders who register are eligible for one of the many door prizes donated by area businesses!

Look for the check-in table when you arrive!

Parking

We'd love love love to see people rolling in from all directions on their bikes. But we know that's not always possible. Parking will be restricted around St. James Church; we suggest using the side streets around Lake Alice or parking in one of the downtown lots to the south of the lake. Despite what the signs say, there are no time limit restrictions, and with your bike you are only a short ride away!

As a courtesy to other riders and yourself, please do not park on Lakeside Drive.

Food and drink

Water and Gatorade will be available free of charge. We will also have snacks like energy bars and fruit for all riders. Feel free to bring your own food as well and do it up, picnic-style.

Lowrider Tacos and Pizza will also be set up and selling their delicious wares. The first 100 riders to check in will receive a "Free Taco" coupon courtesy of Affinity Plus and Pedal Fergus Falls!
